The area is underlain by Lower Cambrian part of the Eagle Bay Formation consisting of quartzite, grit and chlorite-sericite-quartz schist. Disseminated chalcopyrite and pyrite occurs in sericitic quartzite. A 1.5 metre sample assayed 0.09 per cent copper (Assess- ment Report 13557).
